Today, the rain cries with me (a poem)

Today, the rain cries with me

Today, the rain cries with me.
Tears upon panes wash away the dirt, the hurt.

Thousands of drops, memories, splash against the cracked surface,
Bringing to life the sediment.
Sentiments displayed upon walls echo down, silently.

Of course there is hope; there is always hope.
Yet the shadows of clouds hang heavily, heavenly.

Tomorrow, perhaps we’ll see clarity, spring greens, and sunshine.
But for today, the rain cries with me,
Company I am grateful for, as I gaze through the mist.
